Fila
Established in 1911 in Biella, Italy, Fila's original business was in textiles, then later sports and tennis attire. Fila helped to change the look of the all white tennis clothing tradition, by introducing one of the first multi-colored tennis apparel lines. You can see this carry over into Fila's line of watches. Fila launched its line of watches in 1997 in Hong Kong as a seperate entity, the company is a joint venture between Fila and Retkie Industries Ltd., which specializes in design, development, marketing and distribution of Fila's watches and accessories worldwide. Today, Fila watches cover 70 percent of the global market with an estimate of over 20,000 points-of-sale in the world. The strategy of the Fila Active Design Concept gave the timepieces the full spirit of Fila's emphasis on performance, function and stylish appeal.
